Data breach advice podcast launched
2010-02-04
A new podcast has been launched entitled Preparing for the Inevitable Data Breach: What to do Before Sensitive Customer and Employee Data is Breached, Stolen or Compromised.
ACE USA, the retail operating division of the ACE Group, has set up the podcast which lasts around 12 minutes and features a panel of specialists from industries including insurance and risk management, and cyber technology.
"When a data breach occurs, it can be very costly to companies and open the door to legal liability. In addition, companies may be at an increased risk of identity theft," commented Toby Merrill, vice president of ACE Professional Risk.
Mr Merrill will be one of the members of the panel for the podcast, along with John Mullen, attorney at Nelson, Levine, DeLuca & Horst, and Mark Greisiger, president at NetDiligence.
The recent UK Security Breach Investigations Report 2010 from 7Safe and the University of Bedfordshire suggested that data breach incidents are on the rise.
